A group of activists drowned out Newsom’s voice at the CA Democratic Party convention on Saturday, chanting CalCare Now. It was on the local Fox 11 news and Newsom canceled his remaining appearances for the day though there was not as much main stream news coverage as I would hope. But it was well planned over a couple months, including an in-person rehearsal one day. And afterwards, the mood has been up. Someone said it felt like when they won the 2020 primary again, which I think really helps people to keep engaged and can be done with a small number of committed folks.
