NYPAN's Statement on DOJ Dismissing Adams' Charges
New York City – In response to The Justice Department dismissing Eric Adams’ charges and asking for prosecutors to drop all charges, NYPAN’s co-chair, George Albro, released the following statement:
“We are deeply disappointed by the Justice Department’s decision to dismiss all charges against Eric Adams. This decision does not change the fact that Adams has consistently failed our schools, healthcare system, and most importantly New Yorkers. Instead of serving the people, Eric Adams is much more focused on serving his rich friends and Donald Trump. As we look into the future, NYPAN is focused on advocating for our communities. While Trump may have effectively pardoned Adams, the voters of NYC surely have not. New Yorkers deserve a Mayor who will prioritize the needs of working people, fight for justice, and will lead with integrity.”
