The U.S. House Judiciary Committee is trying to stop organizations from securing climate action from corporations by alleging “antitrust” violations. Their subpoena claims that asking a company to reduce carbon pollution infringes on the freedom of all Americans. It’s an example of the oil and gas industry’s grip on our government, economy, and fundamental democratic freedoms. Take Action: Tell Congress to end its attacks on climate progress.

Make Corporate Climate Polluters Pay. The legislation, the Climate Change Superfund Act, demands that companies responsible for significant greenhouse gas emissions pay apportioned fees totaling $3 billion annually for each of the next 25 years to offset the climate costs.

The Constitution of the United States does NOT give the president — not Donald Trump, not anyone — absolute criminal immunity for murder. The fact that Donald Trump thinks it does, and that he had a lawyer say that on his behalf on the record in a court of law, is all the more evidence that he must be held accountable for his crimes against the American people and our democracy.
