Mar. 29 - Go to Albany and push our elected officials to pass the Housing Access Voucher Program (HAVP) and set aside more money for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). GET ON THE BUS HERE!

Last week, the movement for health justice achieved an important milestone – Coverage 4 All (A880A/S1572A) the bill to expand insurance coverage to all New Yorkers regardless of immigrant status – was included in both the NYS Assembly and Senate one house budgets! Use this simple tool to send a message to your Assembly member, Senator and Governor Hochul in support of including Coverage 4 All in the final budget. It takes just a minute!

Fox News is spreading so much misinformation that Kremlin memos urged Russian media to specifically use Tucker Carlson clips “as much as possible”, according to reporting by Mother Jones Magazine. Sign the petition to U.S. Businesses and demand they stop advertising on Fox now.

The Democracy Preservation Act (A7458) will limit or ban foreign owned businesses from spending money in our state elections. Please ask Carl Heastie and the Election Law Committee to move the bill forward!

We now have FIVE working groups!  More at NYHA@nypan.org

People2People Working Group - Contact Naomi Zewde, naomi@nypan.org. People2People is working on materials - with Labor for canvassing among union groups and materials for different regions of the state - and scheduling events, locations, groups, and phone banks to get the word out and build the movement. Sign up here for canvassing!

Research Working Group - Contact Steven Cecchini, stevenc@nypan.org. Research continues to look for information to assist Electoral with power mapping our senators, to create county tax savings numbers, and to help create forceful flyers.

Labor Working Group - Contact Jeff Mikkelson, jeff@nypan.org. Labor is developing strategies and outreach materials to amplify existing support for and overcome lingering opposition to the NY Health Act among labor unions, focusing on the large public sector unions that wield significant influence over Democratic leadership and the legislative process.

Electoral Working Group - Contact Ting Barrow, tingb@nypan.org. Electoral has begun the process of power mapping every one of our state senators, and is bent on finding the levers that will move them to #PassNYHealth as well as a strategy to use those levers with other organizations during the next session.

Medical Professionals Working Group - Contact Donald Gardner, donald@gardnerproject.com. This new working group will work on building support among medical professionals, in particular in organizations.

And here is our latest flyer. Check it out!
